Several FCA fencers competed at the 2009 Summer National Championships. For several it was their first major tournament, all had a good time and learned a lot about their game. In fact, of the eight fencers who attended the tournament seven of them are FCA fencers! Three of the intrepid fencers competed in youth events, the first for FCA. Kelson Denton and Cole Faulkner fenced in Y12 and Y14. Kinsey Denton competed in Y10 women's foil. Jake Green, returned to nationals from a three year hiatus to compete in all three division level men's epee events (Div 1A, 2 and 3). |
